Description
This beautifully woven cotton Tallit prayer shawl displays every color of the rainbow, as designed by Hakadosh Baruch Hu. It is a lightweight piece of judaica and easily compactable for your standard tallit case. This prayer shawl has been exquisitely enhanced by these bright, bold colors, and can help keep you focused on how beautiful teffilah truly is.
A Jewish philosopher once asked, “How did G-D create the world?” To which he answered,”He wrapped himself in a robe of light and began to shine.” (-Reb Zalman) The colors of this rainbow tallit can also be in correlation to the technicolor coat that Yaakov made for his favored son, Yoseph. In the Jewish religion, each individual color has a sacred meaning, and is a symbol dating back to the times of the Beis Hamikdash. Just to name a few examples, Tola’at Shani (scarlet red) symbolizes blood and life, Techeilet (blue) is a symbol with many meanings, one of which is the sky or heavens to remind us of Hashem. And Argaman (purple) is a symbol of royalty.
Yair Emanuel, the designer of this glorious garb, uses vivid colors to attract the aesthetically inclined. He composes his makings from his very own studio in Jerusalem.
