This hair and nail composition provides a combination of nutrients needed for maintaining healthy hair and healthy fingernails. 
The ponytail plant is a natural source of silica. Silica is part of all connective tissue cells, including those found in hair, fingernails, and skin. 
Lysine is needed for growth and helps the body absorb and maintain calcium. 
Folic acid, pantothenic acid, biotin and copper are needed for normal hair pigmentation. 
Zinc deficiency is often associated with white spots on the nails. 
Vitamin E is needed for growth and repair of the skin and connective tissue. 
Vitamin B12 and iron are essential for the production of red blood cells and for the efficient transfer of oxygen in the bloodstream. 
The formula is also suitable for the treatment of anemia due to the high content of iron, B12 and folic acid.
