SAMe exists naturally in every cell in the human body and is found in high concentrations in the liver, adrenal gland, and pineal gland in the brain. SAMe participates in more than 40 different biochemical processes in the human body.
One of the main functions of SAMe is the creation of neurotransmitters that regulate mood by raising levels of dopamine and serotonin, and thus is effective in treating most conditions of depression, moodiness and poor mood.
