Description
The expert Judaica makers at Mishkan Hatchelet put together a tallit prayer shawl wonderfully suited for the modern Jew! This beautiful fringed scarf, consists of a plain white scarf whose threads are gathered and knotted into fringes at all ends. Along the top of the scarf, a panel is sewn on which features the traditional blessing for donning the tallis. Along either side are understated stripes of shiny white fabric, accented with stripes of gold.
The color of this tallis can be interpreted as a reflection of the Torah one of two ways. Firstly, there is a mode of interpretation that looks to the white stripes with the golden yellow as being reflective of Jewish life in the Holy Land. The Torah teaches us that Israel is the land of milk and honey! One must ask, what color is milk? To which the answer is found that milk is the purest of white, and if you shine a light upon the surface of milk in a bucket, it will shine like the stripes of this gorgeous Judaica.
